One of the fun movies of this summer, and a blast from the past is heading to DVD and Blu-Ray this week - Rock of Ages. This fun film is a mixture of your favorite 80's rock and big name actors including Tom Cruise, Julianne Hough, Russel Brand, Catherine Zeta Jones and many more.
Rock of Ages is a fun musical drama about a young girl Sherrie on her journey to become a singer. When she moves to LA to try to achieve her dream she instead finds Drew and love. The move takes you through their story together and how each of them struggle to reach their dreams. It also tells the story of Stacee Jaxx - the ultimate rock god, who is trying to find himself again. Both stories are surrounded with the opposition of Rock Music in the turbulent 1980's.
Now, if you're like me - half of your iPod is still music from the hair bands of the 80's. The music is loud, fun and still what we pull up to listen to to make us smile. We still rock out to those songs from the 80's - and that is what Rock of Ages is about. It's a fun movie, with a lot of big names, and a lot of great songs.
