Do you remember your favorite childhood book? The magic and excitement you had when you sat down to read that book? One of the series I remember from being a kid is now a TV series on the BBC - Spot. You can watch Spot as he goes on adventures with his friends and causes trouble like any young pup does.
BBC America sent me a couple of the new Spot DVDs to review and share with you - Spot and His Grandparents Go to the Carnival and Storytime with Spot. The TV series is based off the beloved children book series by Eric Hill.
Spot is a busy puppy who is always on the go. He reminds you of any toddler you know, into everything and always curious. Every part of every day is an adventure for him. Each book, and episode of the show you can watch him explore and learn basic lessons along the way.
In Spot and his Grandparents go to the Carnival you go along on Spot's adventures as he visits his grandparents on the day of the town carnival. This DVD is a half hour feature episode that is full of learning about his family, playing with his friends and an opportunity for Spot to save the day!
Storytime with Spot is also around 30 minutes, but is a collection of different short stories with Spot. You get to see Spot play with his friends, find his favorite toy, play with his books and more.
The Spot DVDs encompass that childlike imagination that the Spot books feature. You will even find yourself laughing along as Spot plays and finds himself in situations where he has to figure his way out. These movies are sure to be a favorite for your kids as they are in our house. Spot will have a regular rotation in our shows to be played over and over again!
