One little thing can tie a whole room together, and in this case it was a new floor rug. Earlier this year I introduced you to Mohawk flooring and the beautiful products they make for your home.
We are always trying to find new ways to tie our house and styles together. We are still searching for a new place, but while we do - we want to make this house as comfortable as possible.
This time I set about tackling our front living room, between the wood floors, recliners and wood furniture there is a bit too much brown in the room for my liking. However finding something that would tie it together with the yellow walls and our green side chair always seemed to be the problem. Mohawk Home sent me a fantastic new area rug to complete the space and review.

Our front living room is one of the few rooms we use daily. It's a room we can relax in, watch movies, and entertain. Since we are constantly in the room making sure it not only is comfortable for us to be in, but also looks inviting to others.
For my review I chose the Floral Chic Cantrell Rug in a 8' x 5' area rug. The rug would fit perfectly between the chairs and the entertainment center. And the cut pile (depth of the carpet) wasn't extremely high - making the transition from the wood to the floor rug minimal for walking and cleaning.
The Cantrell Rug not only had the browns that our living room already had but it also featured yellows, whites, reds (my favorite) and green tones. It tied the room together perfectly. The other accent colors in the rug complemented the room and the accents we have around.
I love the pattern of the floor rug, and the end result of the rug in our front living room. It gives the whole room a more inviting feel and overall completeness. You can see and feel the difference just walking into the room.
