Week 99er

It's time to get out in the garden and clean up the yard. Last year I did a DIY using newspapers to make a weed barrier. While it's quick and easy I've found an easier way to do it = cardboard! Just like the newspaper it will break down eventually and feed the soil. It will also block the plants from growing under it. 
 

I went on a cleaning spree the other day, scrubbing the whole house. My kitchen is spotless, but then I opened up the microwave. It was messy, covered in dried on, caked on food that had been there for.. well who really knows! I hate scrubbing it, but there is a quick way to clean it off! 

It's hard not being able to garden yet, all of those summer fruits and veggies have been calling my name. But I have a small garden growing in my kitchen - or should I say re-growing!
  

Easter is this weekend! If you're like me you've just started to plan your Easter dinner and you're looking for fun crafts for the family to do! There are a lot of sites out there with ideas but I've only found one with free craft ideas, printable coloring sheets, recipe ideas and even ideas for filling the kids baskets! 

Every child is a blessing, and while you don't get a baby shower with each new one most mom's are doing maternity photo shoots. I helped a friend out today and did the shots for her second little girl about to make her appearance. 

We've both looked over other belly shots to see what she wanted and stumbled upon a gift tag for your baby. "Do not open until..." It was so simple to make for her shoot today I made a couple templates you can print out and use for your next Belly photo! We know when her little one is going to be here, so we put the date in - you can fill in your due date or just a month - whatever you want! 

I've been seeing a lot of recipes for DIY cleaners. The recipes are simple, but they always leave me wondering "do they actually work?". 

SO I decided I'd give one a try - DIY Shower Cleaner. Not only did I already have everything for it already at the house, it was something I needed! 

For the past few years I've been using one of those shower spray systems. You push the button and walk away. It looks like it's working, it seems to be working. But no matter what I do the soap scum seems to build up. I've used name brand cleaners - and nothing seemed to work. 

Still running low on ideas and money for holiday gifts? If you bake a lot you can always make them cookies and give them a box of yummy stuff. But chances are most people might be almost "cookied-out". We love cookies but we all reach a limit. Or maybe someone always asks for your recipe but may not have all the ingredients you do, the simple answer: Recipe Jars. 

Now you can do this with any recipe, just make sure you have the right size jar for the project. The recipe I used would fill 2 jars so I divided it in half. It will make it easy to gift to one or two people. 

Earlier this week I did a post about DIY Bath Salts - they're simple to make, affordable and great gift ideas. I had a fellow blogger asking me for a DIY on Sugar Scrubs, so I had just had to do it! 

We all know sugar scrubs are great for exfoliating, moisturizing and.. well, quite honestly putting a big crimp in our budgets. They cost anywhere from $20-30 and even up. It's silly, seeing how easy they are to make! 

We're getting really close to the holidays! You might be like a lot of people who are running low on time and money. Here is a simple DIY project you can do to make gifts for the ladies (or guys) in your life. Let them pamper themselves, and you can still save your money! 
 

This is one of a simple DIY project that anyone can do! If you're like me, every year I save the Christmas cards from each year. When Christmas is around the corner, I pull them out of a drawer and I'm left with questioning what to do with it. Instead of throwing them out, I have found a great way to upcycle them and they match the DIY Gift Bows!
